Consumer protection authorities from over 60 countries worldwide are member of ICPEN. Switzerland is represented by the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).
ICPEN provides a platform for the regular exchange of information between national consumer protection authorities. This ensures and promotes international cooperation between the members. The global reach and the cooperation among the authorities aim to strengthen the influence of the individual members and facilitate the enforcement of consumer protection across international borders.
A conference of the members of ICPEN usually takes place twice a year.
