Gross domestic product in the third quarter of 2024: Swiss economy sees below-average growth

In the third quarter of 2024, Switzerland's GDP adjusted for sporting events grew by 0.2%, following 0.4% in the previous quarter. Parts of the services sector, construction and consumption supported growth, while exports of goods and value added in manufacturing declined. The chemical and pharmaceutical industry barely grew after a strong previous quarter; the other manufacturing sectors recorded significant declines.
